Welcome to my web space, a place to share my writing, photography, and other art projects.
I am an American-Brazilian writer and poet. I was born in São Paulo, Brazil. My passion for art started with theater. In 1974, I began my theater studies at Teatro Escola Macunaíma. I participated in several productions involving theater, circus, and dance, most of which were dedicated to children.
I moved to the United States in 1988 and now reside on the North Shore of Boston. MA. I earned a master’s degree in business administration (MBA) from Suffolk University in Boston, MA, and a master’s degree in English writing from Salem State University in Salem, Massachusetts (2025).
In 2018, I decided to reconnect to art and independently published two collections of poems: Reencontro (2019) and Retrajetória (2020), combining my photography and writing. For the past three years, I have studied children’s creative writing. I published Grilherme, The Dreamer (Summer 2023), my first illustrated children’s book, and, in May 2006, O Astronauta do Planeta sem Nome (The Astronaut from an Unknown Planet). I am excited to experiment with poetry and children’s literature.
Most of my published work is in Portuguese. I’m working on a collection of epistolary poems and children’s literature that I hope to publish in English in 2026.
I am also a great fan of photography. I take great pleasure in sharing my photography of places I’ve been around the world, including hiking trips in the mountains, rainforests, national parks, and waterfalls. Exploring the beauty of nature is something very close to my heart.
I enjoy studying the sounds of different words and languages very much and meeting and cultivating new friendships around the globe.
I hope to keep creating and supporting all kinds of art projects.
